A WELCOMING GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE ON THE HOUSE" OFFER - AVAILABLE FOR LUNCH ONLY

Designed by Andy Martin, the sophisticated minimalist décor of grey, oak flooring and subtle lilacs provides the perfect stage for Jerome Tauvron's fragrant dishes.

The menu itself is not a Fusion, rather East meets West, French with a Japanese influence, and the two sit amicably together side by side.

After many years perfecting his culinary knowledge, with Restauranteurs and Culinary Giants such as Marco Pierre White, Alain Ducasse, Pierre Gagnaire and Michel Guerard, Jerome Tauvron and Ibi Issolah bonded and our vision was born on December 2002 when we finally opened our doors.

The satisfaction that we gain by watching people enjoying our food and surroundings is immense and we want as many people as possible to experience and share in our passion.

L’Etranger can seat up to 60 people in the main areas and up to 80 people when hired exclusively, while our stunning wine shop “Les Vins de L’Etranger”, frequently used by diners looking to entertain and impress their guests, accommodates parties of up to 20 guests.

Parties over 8 people are proposed a Reduced A La Carte Menu or a tailor made menu composed of your choices from our A La Carte selection.

L’etranger was delighted at winning the award of The Good Food Guide readers’ favourite restaurant in London for 2009/2010.

Receiving this award was not only a great achievement for our team, whose hard work and attention to detail make everything possible, but also for our guests who are extremely proud of the recognition and success of their favourite restaurant.

Opal Kensington - A sexy grotto below the lovely l'Etranger, Opal is a hidden gem for drinking, dancing and dining. The ambience is enhanced with black walls and sinuous banquettes that curve round the cave-like bends. Pockets of privacy here and there float under pools of coloured light. The rest of the seating is a flock of little poufs straight out of Austin Powers. Opal has a tremendously varied drinks list and the menu is French-inflected Asian finger food, which suits the international crowd just fine. Share a platter of fresh sashimi, or an Oriental platter... then dance the night away.
