Franco’s has been serving the community and visitors to St James’s from early morning to late at night, for over 60 years. Situated at the St James’s end of Jermyn Street, Franco’s is surrounded by the many lifestyle boutiques, private clubs, art galleries and hotels of the area. Open all day, the personality of the restaurant evolves from a quietly and gently efficient breakfast venue to a sharp and charged lunch atmosphere, to elegance and romance in the evening. The lunch and dinner menus highlight carefully prepared traditional and more modern Italian dishes and the relaxed and friendly service ensures there is always somebody to greet you with a smile. Some believe Franco’s was the first Italian restaurant in London! Initially Franco’s was next door to a coffee shop which has been included to now form the bar and cafe area. The bar is a firm favourite with local residents who escape the pace of the city for an hour or so while enjoying a cappuccino or glass of wine whilst reading from the selection of daily newspapers and magazines which is always available. The lunch and dinner menus have evolved over the years and now offer sumptuous modern Italian dishes with imaginative combinations of the flavours, textures and aromas of Italy, from north to south, as well as classics and simple lighter dishes. Being known as an all day operation Franco’s enjoys its reputation as the heart of St James’s. From a quick break and espresso to a five course banquet enjoyed over the course of an evening, nobody feels they are missing out. Above all, everyone at Franco’s takes pride in our friendly welcome, care and attention to detail and willingness to please. The beautifully appointed private dining room with curtained and mirrored walls provides the ideal setting for a range of private events. From book launches, exhibitions, presentations, wine and food tastings, seminars to cocktail and dinner parties, family re-unions, birthday parties or anniversaries Franco’s has hosted functions that have all be great successes. The smaller private dining room can accommodate up to 18, whilst the larger 34, both on one table. With smaller tables the larger room can accommodate up to 60 guests. An independent sound system allows guests to play their own music. Alternatively we can arrange for a band or DJ to provide the after dinner entertainment. |
