From its secluded mews location to the lush garden-lined entrance, floral-patterned glass screens & muted tones, The Greenhouse is an 'oasis of calm' in Mayfair. Chef Antonin Bonnet continues to grow in technique & inventiveness, creating seasonally accented dishes that are fascinating & challenging, but always consistently satisfying for the senses. Scallops are dusted with a powder of smoked roe & flanked by a quenelle of luscious fennel purée, beef tartare scales new heights by way of pickled kohlrabi & dots of luxurious truffle purée, & pigeon comes roasted perfect-pink with pomegranate seeds, bacon-infused sauce & powdered olives. It is all 'utterly divine'. There’s also plenty to enthral veggies, perhaps an al dente raviolo of artichoke cream gilded with girolles & truffle. As for dessert, Bonnet’s sorbets are 'brilliantly clever', & the chocolate wafers, peanut mousse & salted caramel of the tongue-in-cheek Snix still raise a delicious smile. Ultra-efficient staff make everyone feel effortlessly cosseted, & are happy to offer light-hearted but expert advice. 'Among the best places to eat in London'. Wine List: By virtue of its scale alone, more than 100 pages, The Greenhouse’s jaw-dropping list is impressive.
