Tucked away from the hustle of Oxford Circus, ORA is London’s latest addition to the growing contemporary Thai offering in the capital. ORA offers innovative yet classic cuisine in a contemporary and sleek setting and is already proving to be a favourite celebrity haunt. The restaurant has a modern, minimalist interior, which has been styled with a warm palette of dark woods and soft pink hues, with striking pendants to set the mood.
Head Chef, Paopuk Seehawat uses a fragrant blend of fresh herbs and spices, tangy citrus and creamy coconut to deliver aromatic, well-balanced flavours. The menu includes traditional favourites alongside specialties such as Ped Yang Nam Makem (grilled duck breast topped with Tamarind sauce), Kae Ta Kai Nam Yaew (marinated lamb chops with lemongrass) and Neur Nam Nok (chargrilled sirloin beef salad with chilli and lime served with ground roasted rice on a bed of cucumber ribbon). To finish, desserts are suitably sweet and include Sarm Sa-Hai (selection of Thai desserts) and Kow Niew Ma-Muang (sweet sticky rice and coconut cream served with honey mango).
The wine list has been carefully designed to compliment the cuisine and cocktail fans can choose from an extensive list of Thai inspired cocktails.
