On the site of the Pub formally known as The Wellesley Arms, The Sydney Arms Pub & Brasserie was launched after some much needed refurbishment on Valentines day 2010. The philosophy is simple. Great food made with the best ingredients, cooked to perfection and served in a relaxed atmosphere - together with superb wines, cocktails and a fantastic choice of real ales and beers. We have a small but excellent team of chefs who between them carry a wealth of worldly experience. This not only brings a unique edge into the kitchen but more importantly into your breakfast, lunch, dinner or bar snack. Giving pleasure to people through food and drink is an integral part of what we are about. However, we remain a pub at heart with many special events running throughout the year including our ever popular quiz nights and live music evenings. We guarantee a friendly welcome and we aim to offer knowledgeable and efficient service at all times. Being a Free House, with no ties we are proud of our Independence making this Pub everything that it should be. Regulars comeback to The Sydney Arms for all sorts of reasons - an informal breakfast meeting with Wi-Fi available, maybe just a Steak Frites with a bottle of fruity Bordeaux, or an expertly stored open cask independently brewed ale with half a pint of award winning Newmarket sausages |
