G. H. Mumm & Cie, situated in Reims in northern France, is one of the largest Champagne producers worldwide. It was founded by three brothers, Jacobus, Gottlieb and Phillip Mumm, German winemakers from the Rhine valley and G. Heuser and Friedrich Giesler on March 1, 1827 as P. A. Mumm Giesler et C°. P.A. stood for the initials of Mumm senior (Peter Arnold Mumm), a successful wine merchant from Solingen. Mumm's label is famous for its red ribbon (Cordon Rouge), patterned after and resembling the French Grand Cordon of the Légion d'Honneur. The company is now owned by Pernod Ricard.
Gosset, founded in 1584, is one of the oldest champagne houses of the Champagne region in north-eastern France. It was founded when Jean Gosset, a grape grower in Aÿ, left a vineyard to Pierre Gosset who began to export wine under his name. Typical for this era in Champagne, Gosset initially produced still wines, mainly reds. Today's Gosset incorporates a winery in Aÿ which belonged to King Francis I of France, who enjoyed these red Aÿ wines. Gosset wines are made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier.
From the meticulous choice of terroirs and grapes to the bottle, Jacquart Champagnes are the result of a succession of carefully made decisions. Created by blending the three classic champagne grape varieties from different years, different Crus and different terriors, the Jacquart Thouse style is fresh and balanced. The structure is firm but fine, allowing every nuance of aroma and flavour to shine through. Although each Jacquart Champagne has its own identity, all reflect the essential Jacquart style: pure, clean and elegant.
Champagne Krug—a "négociant-manipulateur" with offices in Reims, the main city in Champagne—was one of the famous Champagne houses who formed part of the membership of the Grande Marques. Krug Grande Cuvée is one of the crown jewels in the LVMH wine division. As a Champagne, it is distinctive and easily recognised by taste due to the house's policy of complete barrel fermentation and very extended lees aging; on the nose, Krug is identified by its strongly developed and aged nutty lees influence and autolytic notes, a certain oakiness, as well as a combination of disgorgement freshness and oxidative maturity.
Champagne Lanson is a Champagne house located in Reims. Since 2006 it is owned by Lanson-BCC group headed by Bruno Paillard. Lanson was founded in 1760 by a magistrate François Delamotte. He was succeeded by his son Nicholas-Louis in 1798 and formed a partnership with Jean-Baptiste Lanson, who, in 1837, gave the company the name of Lanson et Cie. The company focused, as it still is today, on exporting champagne to foreign markets. By the late 19th century, Lanson was supplying champagne to the courts of the United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain. Lanson still remains a purveyor of champagne to the British Royal Family.
Laurent-Perrier is a Champagne house founded in 1812 and is the main company of the Laurent-Perrier Group, whose other flagship brands include the houses of Salon, De Castellane and Delamotte. Laurent-Perrier Group also acquired Chateau Malakoff as of 2004. With over 1,200 grape growers with supply contracts, Laurent-Perrier exports to more than 120 countries.

Laurent-Perrier rose to become one of the world's best selling champagne brands as of 2005, behind only Moët et Chandon and Veuve Clicquot respectively.
Louis Roederer is a producer of champagne based in Reims, France. Founded in 1776, it was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer in 1833, and is noted as the producer of the luxury champagne Cristal. From a vineyard area of 214 hectares (530 acres), Louis Roederer produces two thirds of the grapes needed for its production, sourcing the remaining required fruit from established farming contacts. The Roederer non-vintage cuvées include the extra dry Brut Premier, Grand Vin Sec and the demi-sec Carte Blanche, all Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blended approximately in 2:1 proportion, with a small portion of Pinot Meunier.
