Mercier is a Champagne producer based in the Épernay region of Champagne. The house, founded in 1858, produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvee. Mercier owned the original rights to the name Dom Perignon but sold the brand to Moët et Chandon in 1930. Today the house is under the umbrella of the LVMH group and is the number one selling brand of Champagne in the domestic French market.

At the 1889 World Exhibition Eugene Mercier's giant Champagne vat, with its 200,000 bottle capacity stole the show. It took eight days, 24 oxen and 18 horses to move the 20 tonne vat from Epernay to Paris.
Moët & Chandon or Moët, is a French winery and co-owner of the luxury goods company Moët-Hennessy • Louis Vuitton. Moët et Chandon is one of the world's largest champagne producers and a prominent champagne house. The company holds a Royal Warrant to supply champagne to Elizabeth II. Moët et Chandon was established in 1743 by Claude Moët, and today owns more than 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres) of vineyards, and annually produces approximately 26,000,000 bottles of champagne.
Perrier-Jouët is a Champagne producer based in the Épernay region of Champagne. The house was founded in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier-Jouët, and produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvee, approximately 3,000,000 bottles annually, with its prestige label named Belle Epoque.

Today the house is under the Pernod Ricard umbrella of brands. One of the three bottles of the world's oldest champagne, a Perrier-Jouët (vintage 1825) was opened and tasted in 2009.
Piper-Heidsieck is a Champagne house from the Champagne region of France. Founded by Florens-Louis Heidsieck on July 16, 1785 in Reims, the Heidsieck name was combined with the Piper name in October 1839. Since late 1990, Piper-Heidsieck has been part of the Rémy Cointreau wine and spirits group.

Piper-Heidsieck's winemaker Regis Camus was awarded Best Sparkling Winemaker of the Year by prestigious IWC in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. And Piper-Heidsieck received the highest number of 90+ Wine Spectator Ratings for Brut NV, EVER, after� Charles Heidsieck!
Champagne Pol Roger (founded 1849) is a notable producer of champagne. The brand is still owned and run by the descendants of Pol Roger. Based around the town of Épernay in the Champagne region, the house annually produces around 110,000 cases of sparkling wine. The house's prestige label is the vintage Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill. Churchill is quoted as saying of his favourite tipple "In victory, deserve it. In defeat, need it!” They also release three non-vintage cuvées, the Pure Brut (no added sugar), Brut Réserve and Rich (sweet), as well as three other vintage wines, the Brut Vintage, Blanc de blancs and Rosé Vintage.
Founded in 1734, the Taittinger Champagne house is based in Reims. The flagship wines of the house are the Comtes de Champagne (composed of 100% Chardonnay) and Comtes de Champagne Rosé (100% Pinot Noir).

Its diversified holdings included Champagne Taittinger, Societe du Louvre and Concorde Hotels, whose flagship is the famed Hotel de Crillon on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France as well as the Loire Valley wine producing firm of Bouvet-Ladubay.
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is both a champagne house in Reims, France, and a brand of premium champagne. Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in establishing champagne as a favored drink of haute bourgeoisie and nobility throughout Europe. The 1811 comet vintage of Veuve Clicquot is theorized to have been the first truly "modern" Champagne due to the advancements in the méthode champenoise which Veuve Clicquot pioneered through the technique of remuage.
